The transactions turning blue in the Just Checking software may indicate that they are new or recently added transactions. If you are unable to get rid of the blue color, it could be a feature of the software or a setting that needs to be adjusted. You may want to check the software's help or support documentation for more information on how to manage transaction colors.
starting check number with 3000 for the new year but still get the old numbers from the year before. When I open up to write a check, it picks up the last year check number and starts from there, rather then pickup the 3000 check number and move from that starting check number.

The issue you are facing seems to be related to the software program "Just Checking" for Windows. It is not starting the check number from 3000 for the new year, but instead continues using the check numbers from the previous year.
When I try to open the check register, click on the checks icon and I only get a few random checks listed. None of which are the ones I want to print.

Worked at my wife's office for years. Now has to come to home desktop. Everything opens but register does not display. Asks what to open, Banking 2017 selected then nothing.
I have a Windows 10 Pro x64 operating system.

The latest version of 4.2.0.1 supports the following versions of Windows: 10, 8.1, 8, 7, Vista, XP. In Windows 10, just make sure to install the program as Administrator because it needs to preserve settings.
The program used to automatically insert the next check number, without me doing it manually, but has recently stopped. There is no "auto" button for me to select, so I am wondering how to restore this setting.

The only thing that you can do is to re-install the application because I couldn't find anything about it or a download possibility. In most of the cases, if an application refuses to run or has functionality errors, a simple reinstall will fix it.
I have used your Just Checking for my business for 1 year and it is awesome, but after the year went to 2017 it will let me log the information in and it won't show anything when I enter preview and it just prints out a blank sheet of paper. I don't know what happened, but I am now over 50 payments behind and these are for my Vendors. I need help fast. Can you help me solve the problem?

The only thing I can recommend is to install the latest version from its official website and then use the manual available on the same page with the downloads to learn about the functionality of the product. I think that the latest versions fixes the issues you're having with the software.
As always, create a backup before reinstalling/upgrading the application.
